HOSPITAL EXTENSION
LOAN OF £150,000 WANTED Bv Telesraph Ptasf Association WELLINGTON, November 27. Immediate application to the Local Government Loans’ Board for authority to raise £150,000 was decided upon by the Wellington Hospital Board. This amount represents the more urgent portion of t»’.ie Board's major building scheme. The Board declined the alternative suggestion that application should be made for a maximum loan of £600,000 to complete the entire scheme. It agreed to hold this matter in abeyance, and that the Sydney architect, who is supervising the plans should be asked to come over to discuss the whole matter with the Board, and see where money could be saved.
