DUTCH PLANS

OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON POSITION United drees Association—Bv Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received September 2, 10.30 p.m.) LONDON, September 2. Regarding the report from New York that a Dutch group is planning an airship service between Amsterdam and the East Indies and Australia, the KLM stated that a Zeppelin syndicate was formed in Holland two years ago and is still in existence, but plans have been little advanced. The Dutch Shipping Companies and the chief shareholders of the KLM are also financially and technically interested, and are at present undecided whether to purchase airships and have only tentatively discussed the routes. There is a possibility that an airship may be purchased from Germany, or built in Holland, but the establishment of a service of any sort is most unlikely before two years.
