NO CRIMINAL CASES
WHITE GLOVES FOR JUDGE BV I i> ‘-HHi’iHtion GREYMOUTH. September 2. The Supreme Court opened this morning, Mr Justice Northcroft presiding. There were no criminal cases, and the judge was presented with white gloves. His Honour said he thought it important that this presentation ceremony should be observed. He congratulated the West Coast on its freedom from crime. At a West Coaster he was proud that serious crime was always rare in the district. Divorce business was taken, four undefended cases being heard, a decree nisi being granted in each instance.
