Wilmer Allison and Van Ryn to-day lost their national doubles championship, being defeated 6-4, 6-2, 6-4 by Donald Budge and Gene Mako, the Davis Cup team having little ti’ouble in overwhelming the veteran combination. Defending the womens doubles title, the holders Miss Helen Jacobs and Mrs Sarah Fabyan were also vanquished. Miss Carolin Babcock and Mrs John Van Ryn defeating them 9-7, 2-6, 6-4.
