The Tetarescu Government aims at the speedy rearmament of Rumania at a cost of £7,000,000. The Government contemplates a rapprochement with Germany and Poland.

The reconstruction of the Cabinet places Rumania among the Fascist States, and creates a block of authoritarian States from the Baltic to the Black Sea, thus increasing the isolation of Czecho-Slovakia. The appointment of the new Cabinet is regarded In Berlin as a triumph for Herr Hitler’s ideas and Is probably a stop-gap for a Government of the Right.
