HONOLULU CONFERENCE By Telegraph ures.- Association AUCKLAND, August 31. Meeting strong westerly winds after leaving Suva, the Niagara arrived at 11.30, an hour later than expected. The passengers included Dr A. A. Tennent (Wellington), Dr Frank Macky (Auckland) and Dr E. D. G. Gillies (Palmerston North), three of the five New Zealand delegates to the Congress of the Pan-Pacific Surgical Association at Honolulu. The congress was attended by 150 delegates, mostly from America, with smaller delegations from Japan, China, Korea, Australia and New Zealand. Many valuable papers were presented by noted specialists, followed by instructive discussions, all tending to the raising of the standard of the surgical profession.
