This was a Schiaparelli notion of a few months ago, and the evening jacket suit on right, which is being Worn by Mrs- Jessen, is made of this interesting fabric- The short-Waisled jacket shows cleverly-cut three-quarter length sleeves and wide revers, while the frock has a square decollelagc and a girdle of vivid cherry velvet ribbon which lies in a bow in front. On the right, Miss Wallder wears a silver lace-flared gown over a matching slip, the. corsage, of which is outlined with plum velvet' ribbon, which tics in front and hangs in long streamers almost to the hemline. The sleeves are short puffs and the neckline at back a flared frill.
