INDEPENDENT WINS BY ELECTION IN AUSTRALIA United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph —Copvright (Received August 30, 6.30 p.m.) SYDNEY. August 30. Polling yesterday for the Assembly by-election at Vaucluse, caused by the death of W. F. Foster, resulted in the Independent United Australian Party candidate, E. M. Robson, scoring an easy victory oyer the official United Australia Party candidate,, H. C. Foster (son of the former member), by a two to one majority.
