HEAD INJURIES
TWO FATAL CASES By TeJegrnph -Press Association AUCKLAND, August 30. Fatal head injuries were received by Hugo Charles Whitmore, aged about 69, married, of Grey Lynn, when struck by a motor-car near tfle intersection of Hepburn Street and Ponsonby Road last evening. Death was almost instantaneous. Severe head injuries were suffered by Gordon Candy, aged 20, single, of Mount Ede n Road, while playing Rugby for the Technical Old Boys fourth grade team against suburbs yesterday. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital and died at 9.30 p.m.
