BURGLAR DISTURBED
HASTY GETAWAY By I'eiegranh Hrew* Ashuci#Mon AUCKLAND. August 29 Having retired early with* her young daughter, in the absence of her husband at business, Mrs A. J. Nolan, Onslow Road, Mount Albert, was awakened about 8.15 by the sound of a cough, and on investigating saw the outline of a man in the darkened passage. The burglar clashed past, jostling Mrs Nolan, and knocking her to the floor, causing a lump on the forehead and shock. Neighbours made a fruitless search for the burglar. Mrs Nolan’s parents had been visiting her, and left in a motor car about 7 o’clock, and it is thought the man watching the house had concluded that the occupants were away. Nothing is missing. In Hamilton some years ago Mrs Nolan awoke to find a intruder in the bedroom.
