HOPES FOR PEACE
SEVERELY SHAKEN IN PALESTINE United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received August 29, 1.15 a.m.) JERUSALEM, August 28. Hopes for peace in Palestine have been severely shaken as a result of a series of outrages, culminating in shooting at a bus, in which a Jewish police officer was killed. Two were wounded during the bombing of two hospitals in the centre of Jerusalem.
