MILFORD
Arrangements for the birthday party to be held in September were made at the monthly meeting of the Milford Women’s Institute over which Mrs A. R. Guild presided. It was agreed to hold a musical afternoon, and to invite neighbouring Institutes, each member to be requested to bring a friend. In the absence of the delegate to the recent Dominion conference, Mrs A. G. Brown, of Geraldine, gave a cotnprehensive report on the conference, for which she was accorded a vote of thanks. The month’s competitions resulted.— Stuffed leg of mutton: Mrs A. Brown. Special bloom: Mrs L. Prattley 1, Miss M. McCormick 2.
