Christchurch — The weather yesterday was gloriously fine and sunny but clouded over in the middle of the afternoon. The maximum temperature during the day was 55.9 degrees. The barometer was steady, registering 29.80 inches at 7.30 p.m. Ashburton— Bright sunshine, with a light northerly breeze, was experienced yesterday morning after a fine weekend, when warm and springlike weather prevailed. The sky was almost cloudless in the morning, but clouded in the afternoon. Geraldine.—Air temperatures, min. 33, max. 59, at 9 a.m., 48. Dull and overcast in morning, bright and fine in afternoon. Temuka — After a frost of six degrees yesterday morning, fine weather prevailed, with passing clouds. The maximum temperature was 54 degrees. The glass was steady. Waimate (for the 24 hours ending 9 a.m. yesterday),—Thermometer, highest 47, lowest 33; frost 6 degrees. Bright sunshine 7 hours 2 minutes. Yesterday was fine and bright throughout the day. Dunedin— Mild conditions with a very slight breeze from the north-east were experienced yesterday. The barometer continued to fall, the reading at 6 p.m. being 29.65 inches. The maximum temperature was 59 degrees.
