AUSTRALIAN INVESTIGATIONS ABROAD United Press Association—By El»ctrlc Telegraph—Copyright (Received June 16; 8 p.m.) NEW YORK, June 15. Mr Bearup, a member of the Australian Broadcasting Commission, following a study of American conditions, informed the Australian Associated press that three aspects of broadcasting in the United States were particularly impressive, namely the unremitting effort to make educational programmes and even charitable appeals etertainment first and the care and expense lavished on acoustical facilities at the studios, and finally the high technical proficiency of broadcasting transmission. Following a fortnight’s stay in New York, Mr Bearup will proceed to Europe to continue his enquiries.
