AN INSPIRATION
MEMORY OF R. J. SEDDON By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, June 10. This morning, on the thirtieth anniversary of the death of the Rt. Hon. R. J. Seddon, members of his family placed a wreath on the statue in the grounds of Parliament Buildings and many admirers paid a silent tribute during the day. "The Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) issued a statement to the press paying a tribute to the great statesman whose memory would serve as an inspiration to New Zealand. It was the Government’s aim not merely to carry on where Seddon left off but to carry his humanitarian and economic achievements to still greater heights. He was confident that we were now entering a similar period of economic and social progress.
