GOOD SELECTION: FULL RATES MAINTAINED United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received January 28, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, January 24. At the wool sales, 9092 bales were offered, Including 4473 from New Zealand. A total of 8360 Australian and New Zealand bales were sold. There was a fairly good selection, consisting chiefly of Australian greasy merinos, which sold well at full current rates. New Zealand lots sold as follows: Greasy cross-bred: Hautapu (top price 12Sd) average 106 d. Slipe, halfbred lambs: CFM, Pareora (top price 18d), average 16M.
