ABSENCE OF SIGNALS
PLANS TO SEARCH FOR ELLSWORTH United Press Association—Bv Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received December 4, 7.0 p.m.) NEW YORK, December 3. A North American News Alliance message from aboard the Wyatt Earp says: “It is now nine days since word was received from Mr Lincoln Ellsworth,' and the Wyatt Earp is en route to the Magallames to pick up an aeroplane for the search. To-day the Wyatt Earp is passing Tierra Del Fuego. On the assumption that Mr Ellsworth and Mr Hillier Kenyon (pilot) have safely completed the flight, we might have gone direct to the Ross Sea, but in the event they are not there, by the time the *boat arrived, some time in January, it would be too late in the season to make arrangements for relief. Hence the decision to lay down the depots in accordance wtih pre-arranged plans.
