POSITION OF TOWN CLERK
FRESH APPLICATIONS TO BE CALLED By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, December 3. After careful consideration of the applications for the position of town clerk, the Mount Eden Borough Council decided to make no appointment, but to advertise again, increasing the salary offered by £IOO, making it £6OO. A special meeting of the Council was held to consider the appointment, the discussion being taken in committee. More than 50 applications had been received for the position. Only two Aucklanders had made application.
