INTERESTING NEWSPAPER DEAL United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph —Cop vrtpbt (Received December 3, 7.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, December 3. The annual meeting of the shareholders of the Associated Newspapers Limited to-day, unanimously approved of the directors’ recommendation for the sale and transfer of “The Daily Telegraph’s” newspaper to Sydney Newspapers Limited, proprietors and publishers of the “Women’s Weekly.” The original “Evening News” building and plant will also be taken over. Sir Hugh Denison, chairman of the Associated Newspapers said the new company would have £750,000 capital, of which the Associated Newspapers would receive £160,000 in paid up shares—£l2s,ooo for the "Telegraph” and £35,000 for the plant—and would also receive in cash £95,000 for the “Evening News” building, in which “The Daily Telegraph” in future will be published.
