INCREASED PAY
RECEPTION BY SHIPPING EMPLOYEES United Press Association—By Electric Telegrapb —Copyright (Received November 8, 8.15 p.m.) MELBOURNE, November 8. Seamen and many other employees In the shipping Industry will receive increases of pay under awards delivered by the Federal Arbitration Court today. Able seamen will receive an increase from £l3/2/6 a month to £l4/7/6. The overtime rate, however, has been reduced from 2/9 to 2/6 an hour. The wages of firemen and greasers are increased by 25/- to £l6/17/6 and trimmers by 25/- to £l4/7/6.
