BRITAIN’S ATTITUDE DEFINED United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received November 8, 8.15 p.m.) LONDON, November 7. It is officially announced that the British Government informed the Egyptian Minister that Britain has no intention of taking advantage of the international situation in order to change Egypt’s international status. The announcement added that Britain has no intention of making Alexandria a naval base, and the warships will be withdrawn when the conflict between Italy and Abyssinia has ended.
