To the Editor of “ The Timaru Herald ” Sir, —I would be much obliged if you would allow me, through your columns, to express my appreciation of the valuable assistance being rendered by the patrol officer (Mr Owers) of the local Automobile Association. On Monday last I was held up through an untraceable fault. Word was sent to the patrol officer, who was on the road some miles away, and in a very short space of time he had us. under way again. As a mere woman I, would be wanting in my duty to. my gekntM.did not let them know of the assistance that is available.—l am, etc., L.S. Timaru, November 2.
