SOCIAL AT SOUTHBURN A very pleasant evening was spent in the Southburn Presbyterian Church, when a party of Timaru artists, under the leadership of Mr David Blair journey out and gave a most enjoyable concert in aid of the Church funds. Those who took part were Mrs Blair, Misses Donaldson and Bates, Mrs Morton and Messrs Nicholl and Ellioto. At the conclusion of the programme. Rev. L. J. Hodson, who presided and Mr B. E. Evans, thanked the performers for their splendid performance and for coming out to assist. Supper, which was provided by the ladies of the district was handed round. PERSONAL Miss E. Wilson, Christchurch, Miss G. E. McKenzie and Mr W. L. McKenzie. Belfield, Hakataramea, have been the guests of Mr and Mrs J. Newbegin for a few days.
