FOR EVENING WEAR
Because of the numerous slits in the evening skirts, your dancing slippers will be the giddiest, gayest, most colourful things you can find. Dizzy heels, glittering trifles, criss-cross straps, and gleaming bits of satin or gold or silver are all that you may wear with the super-exciting dresses which are now in vogue.
Black organdie has suddenly had a renaissance, and makes into some very smart evening dresses. Sometimes it is combined with ecru or sometimes left in all its alluring sobriety. The newest shade for evening gloves is a very pale tea-rose pink and flesh stockings that match one’s face and hands, and consequently no noticeable shade at all, are therefore in harmony with every colour. There are very few trains for dancing, and big lace handkerchiefs are one of the newest notes. These large lace and chiffon handkerchiefs seem to be returning to favour. Some of them are so large that they can be used for shoulder capes, and they usually match the dress in colour.
