Club Runs The Anglican Club will run as guests of the Timaru Club from Caroline Bay to-day at 2.30 sharp. The West End Club will be the guests of Mr E. Ramsay. Regent Street, for the run to-day. at 2.30. The Presbyterian Club will be the guests of the S.S. Teachers from the Cullmantown Hall, Church Street, today at 2.30 sharp. First Catch of Season A few members of one of the local Harrier Clubs went for a hike on Monday and spent a very enjoyable day. On the journey they sighted a hare and ' some of the fast pack gave chase and got in on the kill. No guns or dogs were in attendance. Either the hare was not taking the chase seriously or the fast pack in this club have a dark horse in the next inter-club race. From Fraser Park . . to Palmer Stadium TJ.S.A. The mile race in which Jack Lovelock will run against Glen Cunningham and Bill Bonthron, of U.S.A., is to take place on June 15. Lovelock proposes to have 10 days’ preparation for the event. The Palmer Stadium holds 80,000 people, and it is expected that the contest will prove the most remarkable mile battle ever staged.

Dick Hillary was an interested spectator at the official opening of the Harrier Season at Caroline Bay on Saturday last. Dick was the most

promising cross-country runner we have had in this sport in South Canterbury. He won the Temuka-Timaru Road Race, he was second in the Canterbury Championships and ran sixth in the New' Zealand Championship in a field including Randolph Rose and Billy Savidan. Dick is still keen and Should he take an active part in the sport he is capable of footing it with the best. What about it Dick?
