FIXTURES June I—Christchurch-Akaroa1 —Christchurch-Akaroa Relay Road Race. June B—Norrie Cup Race at Waimate. June 22nd—Orr-Walker Cup Caroline Eay. July 6th —Canterbury Championship. July 27th—Waimate-Timaru Road Relay Race. August 31st—Temuka-Timaru Road Race. The Timaru Harrier Management Committee conducted the official opening of the season last Saturday at Caroline Bay. Close on 70 runners took part, and were divided into three packs. The runners were taken over the Orr-Walker Cup course. The slow pack, about 30 strong, in charge of T. J. O'Leary, W. Tubb and Arthur Foden, was comprised mostly of juniors and new runners. The medium and fast packs about 15 and 25 runners, respectively, put in a yard training run, most of the runners being content to take it easy for so early in the season. Norrie Cup Race This race is the first event of the season and takes place on Saturday,

June 8. The race is run annually at Waimate under the Auspices of the Presbyterian Club.
