DISASTROUS STORM
HOMES BURIED UNDER AVALANCHE United Press Association —By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright (Received May 8, 7.40 p.m.) BAHIA (Brazil), May 7. Six homes were rolled from a hillside under an avalanche. It is estimated that thirty were killed as the result. The city to-day began clearing the debris resulting from seven days of high wind and rain. Earlier estimates that there are 400 dead have been reduced, but it is believed that 75 died in Bahia City alone.
