May 16 Karetu, Lyttelton May 16 Wingatui, Lyttelton May 19 NOTES The Storm loaded yesterday for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui and departed in the evening for Lyttelton. The Gabriella discharged coal from the West Coast yesterday and proceedto Dunedin. The Waikquaiti also discharged coal at Timaru yesterday and after unloading general Australian cargo was despatched for Lyttelton. The Kaimai is set down to arrive from Oamaru to-day to load for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth. She should get away for Lyttelton this evening. The Waimarino is due from Dunedin to-morrow to load for Picton, Wellington and Auckland. She is to sail for Lyttelton the same day. Shaw-Savill Steamers The following particulars of movements of vessels in the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s fleet have been notified by the local agents:— Karamea, which left Port Chalmers yesterday for Wellington, will leave the capital port this afternoon for London, via Rio de Janiero. She is due at her destination on June 15. Mataroa, at present at Lyttelton, is due at Timaru on Friday, and at Port Chalmers on Saturday next. She will sail on May 13 for Auckland and Wellington, and is to clear the latter port at 5 p.m. on May 24 for Southampton and London, via Panama and Curacao. She is due at London on June 26.

Waipawa, which left London on April 1 2for Port Chalmers, is due on May 20. After discharge and loading she will proceed to Lyttelton and Timaru to complete discharge. Her other ports have not yet been disclosed. Mahia is due to leave Port Chalmers early on Thursday morning for Timaru and Oamaru, returning to Port Chalmers and sailing the following day for Wellington and Auckland. The vessel will leave the latter port on May 25 for Southampton and London via Panama and Kingston (Jamaica). She is due at Southampton on July 14. Mahara is due at Timaru on May 14. She will later proceed to Lyttelton. New Plymouth, Auckland, and Wellington. She will sail from the last-named port at daybreak on June 5 for London and West Coast ports of the United Kingdom, via Monte Video and Teneriffe. She is due at London on July 18. Cargo From Pacific Coast Under charter to /the Union Company the Glasgow motor-ship Cape York left San Francisco on April 26 with cargo from Pacific, Coast ports for Apia, Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne and Sydney. She is due at Auckland about May 26. Personal The Maori is under the command of Captain G. B. Morgan, whose officers are;—Chief, Mr F. J. Callan; second, Mr A. V. Knight; third, Mr D. C. Campion; chief engineer, Mr W. N. Aimers; second, Mr V. Standring'; third, Mr J. M. Dalziel; fourth, Mr G. Anderson; fifth, Mr W. O’Sullivan; sixth, Mr J. P. Leonard; seventh, Mr E. S. Fraser. Mr J. D. Crighton has rejoined the Waimarino as third officer, relieving Mr J. B. Williams for holidays. Mr R. I. Floris has joined the Maunganui as fourth officer, relieving Mr R. G. Pierpont for orders. Mr G. E, Langley is now third officer of the Waipahi vice Mr J. J. Tait, who has come ashore for orders. Mr A. W. Dovey, has been engaged as second mate of the Kanna.
