The aviation writer of The Daily Telegraph,” referring to the Air Ministry’s £25,000 prize says: In its present form the aircraft industry has rejected the offer. There have been no entries. The prize must be much bigger and the plans altered or there will be no competition. The Air Ministry offered a prize of £25,000 for the best transport machine produced by any United Kingdom firm, within a stated period and complying with certain requirements.
