CASES FOR HEARING The following cases are set down to be heard at the session of the Supreme Court, which opens in Timaru on Tuesday:— Civil Cases (Before His Honour and Special Jury) Mary Barton Amy Shaw V. the chairman, councillors and inhabitants of the Mackenzie County; a claim for £4280 damages arising out of an accident in which her husband was killed while a passenger in a motor vehicle owned by defendant. (Before His Honour Alone) Edward Marra v. John Stephen Bradbury; claim for £250 general and £69/2/8 special damages, resulting from plaintiff being run over by a motorcar in the control of defendant. Mary Meehan v. The Public Trustee and the Roman Catholic Bishop of Christchurch; originating summons for an order under the Family Protection Act for additional provision for plaintiff out of the estate of John Meehan, deceased. In Divorce Harold Charles Sowerby (petitioner) v. Annie Louisa May Sowerby (respondent) and Hector Thomas Parkinson (co-respondent), on the grounds of dissolution and adultery. Motion for decree absolute and custody of children. In Bankruptcy Three applications for absolute discharge from bankruptcy will be heard and 18 motions for release from administration. In addition, applications under the Mortgagors’ and Tenants’ Relief Acts will be heard.
