The “Sunday Express” says that with the permission of Mr John Masefield, Post Laureate, it gives a verse from his poem for the King’s Silver Jubilee, set to music by Sir Walford Davies, Master of the King’s Music. A fund is being raised privately among those who have retained their allegiance since the treaty of 1922 for a Silver Jubilee gift to their Majesties from the Irish Free State. The sum of £ISOO has already been collected. Money is being willingly subscribed by all classes. Portion of the fund will be used to purchase a souvenir and the balance will be allocated to some cause, possibly to nursing.
