Dominion Meteorologist General Situation.—The last of the present series of westerly depressions is crossing New Zealand, and an anticyclone is advancing across the Tasman. Winds. —Between west and south prevailing, moderate to strong generally and In places reaching gale force. Seas (New Zealand Waters).—Very rough about Foveaux Strait, moderate north of East Cape, elsewhere rather rough to rough. Eastern Tasman. —Strong south-wes-terly winds, rough seas. Weather.—Mainly fair to fine, but changeable with showers at times in most districts, especially western and southern; temperatures cool. Mr F. L. Wooles Wind.—Variable, moderate to strong westerly to southerly ruling. Weather. —Somewhat unsettled, but fair conditions ruling. Conditions In Timarn Fine, sunny weather conditions prevailed in Timaru yesterday. During the afternoon a light easterly breeze was in evidence, but when it dropped later, conditions were mild. The temperature was fairly warm last evening.
