Children playing on a vacant allotment at South Richmond, found a parcel which, according to their story to the police, ' contained a woman’s head. They said they were on their way to the police station, when a man took the parcel from them, saying he would give information to the police. This was not done. The police take a grave view, because they state that each child on being questioned separately told exactly the same story. The police are investigating the supposed murder of a woman. They declare that the parcel contained not a woman’s head, but the body of an Irish terrier.
