The Brewers’ Association says that Japan is selling bottled beer at a price which the German brewers cannot even buy the bottles. Germany in 1934 exported 3,800,000 gallons, compared with 6,270,000 in 1932. Japan was now the second beer exporting country, Britain being the first.
