VICTORIAN MIXED DOUBLES TITLE United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright (Received December 17, 11.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE, December 17. In the semi-final of the Victorian doubles championship, H. Hopman and Mrs Hopman defeated D. Thompson and Miss Hattersley. The winners will meet F. J. Perry and Miss D. Round in the final at the beginning of the Australian championships in Melbourne next month. The final was postponed owing to Perry’s visit to Sydney. The play to-day was generally erratic, the men especially being off their games. It is announced definitely that che Australian championships will be played at Melbourne, even if all the courts at Kooyong are unavailable. Entries for the championships closed to-day.
