George Mainfold Wilton, a dental mechanic, pleaded guilty to a charge of drunkenness while in charge of a motor cycle on Derjember 15.

The sub-inspector said accused had been seen by a c'anstable coming out of a hotel. He was under the influence of alcohol. Accwied started up the motor-cycle, but event only a few yards when he stalled the machine. When the man was brought to the police station he was considerably more than intoxicated. A, doctor examined Wilton and said h.e did not think that the man was in rmch a condition that he should be detained. However, in the sub-inspecto c*s opinion, Wilton was drunk. He liad admitted having had 11 long beers during the afternoon. He had a par'fly consumed bottle of liquor and a fla'ik of gin in his possession. Wilton vyas convicted and fined £5 in default 21 days’ imprisonment.
