Mr Buckley has never attended any function in his official capacity. To do so would be a breach of the understanding reached when he was appointed. It is stated authoritatively that no member of the Mr de Valera’s Government will attend the wedding but may be represented by Mr J. W. Dulanty, High Commissioner in London.
