By Telegraph—Press Association DUNEDIN, November 19. The sixty-first annual meeting of shareholders of the National Insurance Company of New Zealand was held this afternoon. The chairman of directors (Mr John Moloney) presided and there was a fair attendance of shareholders. The chairman, in moving the adoption of the report and balance sheet, said that with the balance from last year £91,308 was available for distribution. After deducting £IO,OOO for reserve fund, £1167 13s 6d for contingency account and writing off £5732 from the company’s premises, the directors recommended the payment of a further dividend of 5d a share, making the total distribution for the year 9d a share, and to carry forward £36,909. The motion was carried. Messrs F. W. Mitchell and J. Sutherland Ross were re-elected to the directorate.
