FEELERS IN TOKIO
GERMAN CORRESPONDENTS IN EVIDENCE l -.lted Press Association— Bv Electrw Telegraph Copvrtßht TOKIO, November 16. The recent influx of German correspondents, while there were hardly any two years ago, is exciting comment, and is regarded as presaging important Japanese-German developments, such as German recognition of Manchukuo, or a Japanese-German defensive entente. The Japanese Ambassador, Mr Nagal, at Berlin, has just returned to Tokio on furlough. He said a feeling was prevalent in Germany that a tacit Japanese-German understanding exists, particularly for mutual assistance if the Soviet interferes or attacks either. He added that Germany is now ready to support the Japanese possession of the mandated islands.
