PLEASURE CRUISE
NOTABLE LINER BOUND FOR NEW ZEALAND United Press Association—By Electric Tel etrrapti —Copyright (Received November 16. 8.55 p.m.) SYDNEY, November 16. The Strathaird, one of the largest and fastest liners in the passenger trade, left Sydney for Brisbane, from where she departs at the beginning of next week on a pleasure cruise for new Zealand. Passengers, numbering 850, will be picked up at Australian ports, and will disembark at Auckland on November 23. rejoining the vessel three days later at Wellington. A large proportion of the passengers have already arranged tours in New Zealand, and officers of the New Zealand Publicity Department are aboard to arrange further trips en route. Three other similar cruises will take place this summer. Mr L. J. Schmitt, representative of the New Zealand Government in Australia, paid a courtesy call on the captain of the Strathaird this afternoon, and on behalf of the New Zealand Government expressed best wishes for a good trip.
