LABOUR CANDIDATES By Telegraph —Press Association WELLINGTON. October 17. It is understood that Mr James Roberts, secretary of the Alliance of Labour, will contest the New Plymouth seat at the general election. It is announced that Mr Ormond Wilson, son of Mr Hamish Wilson, of Bulls, and grandson of the late Sir James Wilson, one of the leaders of the old Conservative Party in New Zealand, has been selected as the official Labour candidate for the Rangitikei seat at next general election. Mr Wilson, who is a farmer by occupation, has not long returned from Oxford University, where he came under the influence of the modern movement in the famous old English centre of learning.
