ACCIDENTALLY SHOT
STATION EMPLOYEE’S DEATH By Telegraph Fress Association CHRISTCHURCH, October 17. Ernest Clarence Mclver, aged 35, employed by Sir Charles Clifford at Stoneyhurst, North Canterbury, as groom-butcher, was fatally injured this morning when a shot gun he was carrying accidentally discharged, the shot entering his abdomen. It is thought that he became entangled in a fence he was crossing. Mclver had been employed on the station for 10 years. His mother resides at Waikaia.
