ST. BARNABAS GUILD The monthly meeting of the St. ■Barnabas Guild was held in the Sun.day School on Thursday afternoon. .Mrs G. Dennistoun presided, and the following members were present—Mesdames S. U’Pritchard, J. Cain, Y. Robinson, J. Wilson, T. Stinson, D. Rutherford, O. Keen, J. Rees, Misses X). Barker, O. Stinson and R. Barker. Apologies were received from Mesdames J. M. H. Tripp, G. Wooding, F. (jlaydon, C. Wooding, T. Smith, and Miss R. Blissett. The treasurer, Mrs S. U’Pritchard reported that there was a Credit balance of £4 7s for the half-2s-would be a suitable date to hold the annual bazaar. At the conclusion of . the meeting afternoon tea was dis- . pensed by Mrs S. U’Pritchard and J Miss O. M. Barker. CONCERT ; A most enjoyable concert was given • in the Peel Forest Hall on Thursday • evening by a party from Ashburton in ! aid of the local school funds. The pro'TTamme which was a long and varied one, was greatly appreciated by the ,hirge attendance. At the conclusion of -* tne entertainment, Mr L. Heney, chair- £ man of the School Committee, returned Z th2hks to the visiting concert party.
