BURIED IN SNOW
PLIGHT OF TRACTOR PARTY IN ANTARCTIC.
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph —Copyright (Received July 25, 7.15 p.m.) LITTLE AMERICA, July 24. The tractor party reported by radio that it is preparing to break camp 28 miles south of here and will immediately start back. The party was stopped on the homeward journey early yesterday by a 60 mile an hour blizzard and the machine has been hove to ever since.
Poulter reported to-day that the tractor is half buried in a drift. They are preparing to dig out the machine and to warm up the engine and differential with blow torches, after which they will shove off for Little America.
