At a meeting of the executive of the Geraldine Plunket Society, the president (Mrs Wyn Davison) occupied the chair. Remits for the annual Dominion Conference at Wellington on August 1, were considered. Mesdames J. M. H. Tripp and G. A. M. Macdonald were appointed delegates to the conference. The Plunket Nurse reported that in the Geraldine district 95 visits had been paid to the rooms, and 125 to homes; and there were five new babies. In the Fairlie district, 68 visits had been paid to the rooms and 58 to homes. There was one new baby. At Te Ngawai she had paid 45 visits to homes. There was one new baby. Mrs J. M. H. Tripp had kindly given a picture for the rooms. MAYFIELD EUCHRE PARTY. At the fortnightly euchre party and dance held at Montalto, Mayfield, the women’s prize was won by Miss W. Morgan, and the men’s by Mr H. Whiting. Miss B. Anderson and Mr H. Anderson secured the consolation prizes. Music was supplied by Mr C. L. Giddings and extras were played by Miss W. Morgan and Messrs R. Lamb, R. Branch, and R. Brown; Mr G. Branch was M.C.

PERSONAL. Mrs J. R. Anderson, “Skyebum,” Montalto, has returned from a holiday in the North Island. Mr J. S. Clyne has returned after spending his annual leave at Christchurch. VARIABLE WEATHER.
