ATTITUDE OF COMMONWEALTH BANK. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, June 25. The chairman of the Commonwealth Bank Board, Sir Claude Reading, is issuing a statement setting out the attitude adopted by the Bank Board in the recent negotiations with the Loan Council, concerning the financing of governmental deficits. He denied that the Board had stipulated any amount to which the State deficits should be limited. The Board, however, had informed the Loan Council that it was seriously concerned with the amount of finance sought from the bank.
