SUICIDE PACT
RESULTS IN DEATH OF CHINESE GIRLS. Cnlted Press Association —Bv Electric Telegraph —Copyright (Received June 25, 9.30 p.m.) PEKING, June 25. A remarkable suicide pact, resulting in the death of nine Chinese girls, aged from 13 to 19 years, is reported in the local Press. The girls tied themselves together in a chain and jumped into the sea, near Huian, on the Fukien coast. Seven were first cousins. All but the youngest committed suicide owing to dissatisfaction with married life. An official investigation is likely.
