held at Waimate on Saturday next. However, the date was inconvenient for Waimate and the senior team will play Timaru at Temuka instead. No date has yet been arranged for the Waimate matches, but it is thought that the trip will be made towards the end of July. In the meantime it will be necessary to hold another junior representative trial. A representative match is being arranged for the senior B grade, Otaio Sub-Association having been invited to visit Temuka on July 14. In preparation for this game a trial match will be held later. Chief interest centred around the meeting of St. Joseph’s and Pleasant Point on Thursday last. Although it was known that St. Joseph’s had a combination with experience, it was felt by some that Pleasant Point’s improved form and the play on hard courts might weigh in the country team’s favour. As it was St. Joseph’s maintained their unbeaten record for the season, winning a keen and fast game by a decisive margin. At the Temuka Domain High School Old Girls’ senior B team gave High School quite a keen game, although the keenness and versatility of the school girls, combined with the accuracy of their forwards, carried the day. Geraldine senior B side, which was in the running for the championship of its grade, was beaten by Point, at Point. However, the side is not out of the running yet. Winchester have moved up well. The championship points now are:
