PLEASANT POINT SALE

RECORD JUNE YARDING. The yarding at the Pleasant Point fortnightly stock sale, which was held yesterday was a record one for the month of June. The large entry of fat lambs and sheep so late in the season was no doubt owing to the slow fattening year. All classes of cattle, pigs and horses also came forward in large numbers. Taken all round the sale was a very satisfactory one. Fat cattle.—About 89 head were forward, this number being in excess of requirements. Notwithstanding this fact the sale for two-thirds of tha market was good, late rates being nearly maintained. Towarcs the finish however, prices were easier by about 20/- a head. Values were: Fat steers.—Best £6/7/6 to £B/2/6, medium £4 12/6 to £5/10/-, light £3 to £3/17/6, heifers £4/2/6 to £6/7/6, vealers 35/-, runners £2/5/- to £3/2/6.
