SHIPMENTS TO BRITAIN The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board is advised from its London Office that the shipments from Australia and South America to the United Kingdom during the month of May were as follows: — Australia. Carcases mutton .. 89.376 Carcases lamb • • 293.759 Quarters beef •• 111.623 South America. Carcases mutton • • 65,759 Carcases lamb • • 258.679 Quarters beef (frozen) .. 1.381 Quarters beef (chilled) .. 506,682 Included in the South American figures are 155.086 carcases of lamb and 50,275 carcases of mutton shipped from Patagonia. The shipments from New Zealand to the United Kingdom for the same ; period were as follows: — Carcases mutton . • 160.286 Carcases lamb .. 1,124.346 Quarters beef .. 94,826
